A unique profile of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. The film is created from multiple interviews that director Michael Gracey conducted with Robbie Williams over a year and a half at Williams’ recording studio in Los Angeles, United States. Although the interviews were not originally for the film, as Gracey “just wanted to capture [Williams] in his own voice telling his story,” most of Williams’ voiceover in the film is from those recordings.. Robbie Williams: Nigel Martin Smith was, for legal reasons, an absolute sweetheart. And a first-class cunt.. Featured in The 7PM Project: episode 5 December 2024 (2024). An absolutely ruthless, emotional and impressive piece of cinematography. The visual creativity shines through hard-hitting drug-induced sequences with a touch of fantasy as it unapologetically explores Williams’ mental health. While there are familiar tropes, it delves deeper into thematic material than you might expect and has the balls to do things that other biopics can’t. The biggest controversy surrounding the film was the CGI monkey, but its presence seems so seamlessly integrated that you barely think about it. Once you leave the cinema, you’ll never hear Sinatra’s My Way the same again. This is no ordinary biopic movie . Go see it and give it a chance. You won’t regret it, trust me.
