Miami, 1991
When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he goes from student to vengeful serial killer under the tutelage of his father, Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired. I just finished the long-awaited first episode and as a hardcore Dexter fan, I had to force myself to give the new actors a chance.

After a few minutes, I completely forgot that they were different actors. Obviously, we can’t have all the original actors somehow playing their younger selves all these years later. Anyway, he picks a great starting point which was his first kill.

They must have had to reshoot that murder scene so many times because I feel like it was very well balanced with the same murder scene from the original show. This series is about real events and not a memory, which is why everyone may look slightly different than their counterparts in the original. Also, did anyone do a stunt double when they saw Batista?
The resemblance and mannerisms are so uncanny
Did they find a way to make the actor go back in time? The younger Dexter actor was also very well played. Very awkward, more exaggerated than the original Dexter, which would make sense since he still hasn’t fully adjusted to everything.
I can’t wait for more!
