After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island

In order to survive the harsh environment, Roz gets close to the island’s animals and takes care of an orphaned goose. Lupita Nyong’o and writer-director Chris Sanders talk about the milestones and time they spent making The Wild. Robot together…

According to author Peter Brown, the inspiration for “Wild Robot” came from a sketch he made of a robot on a tree. When the fox enters the cabin, the moose grunts by the door, but the sound effect is a filmed bear. Roz: [from trailer] Sometimes to survive you have to become more than you were programmed to.
