Plot
Follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Buddingham as their long-standing rivalry comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner previously starred in Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was used to portray Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC television adaptation of Poldark. I laugh at some of the reviews, obviously from readers who take themselves too seriously. This is an adaptation by Jilly Cooper. This is not a series that needs to be intellectualized or morally judged. It’s so fun. Great cast. Yes, RCB’s hair and eyes are not the same color. Like Teggy’s hair. But they work. Somehow. RCB will disappoint some for this reason. But Alex Hassell conveys everything else in it. Danny Dyer is perfect. David Tennant is EXCELLENT as always. And Aidan Turner is simply magnificent, although a bit young for the role of Declan. It fluctuates a little in the last third. But yes. This is fabulous fun. I watched everything in one breath.
