This animated anthology series features original stories set in the worlds of iconic video games. Video games have made a huge comeback on screen, and we’re celebrating the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations to film and television. Clive Standen reprises his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the main character in the video game Space Marine 2.
They feel like apprentice rehearsals
Mentioned on the Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, there’s no doubt about it. However, I find it hard to get excited about short episodes like this.
Both Reeves and Arnie play enjoyable roles
You can’t fully get into it because you know it’s over before you can connect with the characters. It was nice to see the celebrity involvement. For me, it all feels a bit too experimental and lacking in depth.
The Pacman episode was okay
Plus, if I had the choice of the source material, I would. I think I would have chosen a completely different set of games to worship. But it was a display of artistic license taken to its absolute limits.
6 for the visuals
