A look into the nightlife of four vampires who have lived together on Staten Island for over a century. At the SXSW Film Festival, Jemaine Clement and the cast of “What We Do in the Shadows” reveal who they want to see in the series. All of the main vampire characters, with the exception of Colin Robinson, wear custom-made vampire fangs that clip onto brackets on their teeth. This was done to ensure that traditional prosthetic fangs wouldn’t interfere with their speech patterns or pronunciation of words. For anyone who hasn’t seen the movie of the same name, I highly recommend it. I was worried that the show wouldn’t capture the comedic genius of the film, but I wasn’t disappointed in the least. It’s fantastic!
